Alright, so I'm happy to say that I got two new members from DA (you know who you are). But, being the megalomaniac I am, I demand more members. I'm trying to rake out people from DA and maybe I'll try FA, if I feel like it. Read my last journal to find out what it's about and if you're interested, alright? Be a pal.

Listen up, my furry friends!

So, my friend (another furry) and I have noticed something about this fandom. It feels like the whole thing is centered around yiff, and we feel it's sort of... degrading our image. I'm well aware that this subculture derived from a fetish, but does it really have to stay like that? By giving off the image of constantly yiffy freaks, it's almost like asking for what is known as "Fursecution".

This is a call out to furries everywhere who feel like there's so much more that we can do than screw. To those who take pride in both being a furry and showing yourself as more than a horny net-addict. More relevantly, this is for those furries that want to see better literature that has a point other than porn. Won't you agree that such a distinctive medium like that of "furry" can be used for universally respected writing?

For those that agree, a new site has been created for them. Howling Earth (name under debate) is a site for dark, intelligent furry writing. Why "dark"? "Light" writing can include things such as romance and silly fantasy, which we definitely do not want. In general, dark literature is more seriously written and has a better quality. Unfortunately, at this point, we're only a webs.com site, but I see a domain of our own on the horizon!
